filming

battersea power station is the last undeveloped art deco building of this scale in london, making it a sought-after choice as a film and tv location. the potential stretches well beyond the imposing exterior and famous chimneys as, despite exposure to the elements, various interiors have survived. these include the roofless boiler house flanked by two turbine halls, two period control rooms, and three floors of dank warehouse floors running the full length of the building. other usable areas on site include: acres of tarmac and hard standing, a series of victorian raliway arches, spoil heaps, and roadways along the river thames, overlooked by an impressive pair of listed coal-wharf cranes on their own pontoon.
previous television includes: sherlock, the apprentice 2011, doctor who: rise of the cybermen, ashes to ashes, spooks, minder, new tricks.
